Ceramic Art By Steve Coburn Is Available At Gallery 319, Ames, Iowa.

"My work can be described as functional, high-fired, wheel thrown, stoneware pottery. I fire all my pots in a gas-fired kiln to cone 10, which is approximately 2400 degrees. All the pieces are Oven, Dishwasher and Microwave safe and meant for everyday use. Most of my pots are oriented towards the kitchen.

I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Kansas State University in 1981, with an emphasis in Ceramics, and have been a Professional Potter since 1982.

I sell my work throughout the Midwest at Art Shows and through shops and galleries in several cities. I strive to make a variety of pots in different sizes to meet the needs of as many people as possible. Making pottery is an ancient art and I derive much satisfaction from carrying on that tradition."
