Artwork By Bernard Kaye Is Available At Gallery 319, Ames, Iowa.

Bernard Kaye was born during January 1946 in Washington, D.C. He and his brother, Jay, collaborated on numerous photographic projects while children. The older brother, Jay, would build balsa wood models of WWI aeroplanes and Bernie would take those models, set them on fire, for photographs of “planes downed behind enemy lines”.

Having exhausted desired photographic subjects in his neighborhood at 17, he decided to “see the world”. Over the next fifteen years he traveled around the world making pictures and learning his craft. In 1977 Bernard came to Ames to raise his family and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Mid-West. Bernie worked for several large companies in Iowa.

When he retired in 2006 Bernie found more time to concentrate on the areas of photography that actually interested him. Currently there are three panoramic photographs available through Gallery 319.
